Artist: Hala Sekak

Hala Sekak is a talented abstract artist based in Melbourne, whose art is inspired by her Middle Eastern and Arabic roots. She is skilled in a range of techniques, including resin art, abstract art, fused glass, hand-built pottery, wheel throwing, slip casting, and mold making. Hala's artwork is a symphony of feelings, love, and expression, and she draws inspiration from anything and everything around her.

Hala's inspiration process involves closing her eyes and letting colours and pictures flow in her mind to form a piece of art that expresses her emotions and feelings. She uses brush strokes, sharp contrasting dark and light tones, and her hands to create pieces that reflect her love, dreams, soul, and memories on a canvas or wooden board.

Hala's artwork has received recognition, including winning second and third prizes for her resin art, jewelry art, and fused glass art at the Emerge Exhibition and the Desert Sky Art & Fine Crafts Exhibition, respectively. Her artwork has also been spread internationally, including in Australia, Turkey, Jordan, USA, Pakistan, Iran, and Saudi Arabia.

One of Hala's accomplishments was having her original artwork selected by Saudi ARAMCO, the biggest oil company in the world, and placed in all ARAMCO recreation centers around the kingdom. Some of her artwork was also used as gifts to company VPs. An article about her artwork was published in Al-Arabia online news.

Hala has completed many interior design projects for companies and homes with super customer satisfaction. She has provided Resin Art workshop training and an online video session and demonstration on Resin Art to the Hume Council in Victoria. She has also developed art and design concepts mixed with her interior design experience.

Hala's artwork has been featured in several exhibitions, including the Wings Exhibition, Emerge Exhibition, Blossom Art Gallery Solo Exhibition, Desert Sky Art & Fine Crafts Exhibition, Desert Design Gallery Exhibition, and Wonder Wall Exhibition. Her artwork will also be on display at the 2023 Art Red Hill, 2023 Bendigo art show, and 2023 Portland art show in Australia. In 2022, her art was showcased at the Spring into Summer Art Show and the Knox Art Exhibition. Hala's artwork was also a finalist in the 2021 Bluethumb Art Prize.

Her inspiration comes from nature around her and from emotions and feelings when she shares great moments in beautiful places with her family. Her artwork reflects memories, feelings, and even the scent of a place. Her latest works are created using luxurious resin art paints to print lovely memories in her and her grandchildren's minds about the beautiful places they have visited and enjoyed.

Overall, Hala Sekak is a talented abstract artist whose work is deeply influenced by her Middle Eastern and Arabic roots. Her art reflects her emotions and feelings, and she is skilled in a range of techniques that allow her to create unique and memorable pieces.
