ARTIST NOTES: A one of a kind (1/1) hand cut, hand printed and handcoloured linocut, taken from a drawing of a freshly picked bunch of full dahlias.
These were individulally picked walking in a Monbulk Dahlia farm up in the Dandenongs. This red and yellow tipped cactus flower was Kevin's all time favourite from an enormous hillside field.... (then I, of course, just had to draw them, over and over !)
The simple Doulton vase is an old family one from the 1920's and so is the hedge behind it from my childhood. (it was a friends' hedge and I had so many stitches from hedge fall injuries, sewn up by Dr Cameron next door.)
