ARTIST BIO

I have been painting for over 40 years concurrent to my career as an Architectural Designer. The themes of my artwork are a mix of Country, Coast, and Architecture - rural and urban. Influenced by my years growing up in country Victoria and subsequent move to the inner city of Melbourne. I love the luminosity of watercolours, and use acrylics and oils in much the same way, to create a sense of fluidity and contrast.

My work is often influenced by a conceptual interpretations of Architecture or man-made forms set in a natural landscape. I am fascinated by the solitary beauty of structures on the verge of ruin, a poignant reminder of bygone days.
