What A Precious Privilege It Is To Be Alive by Tanya Keenan

Features

ARTIST NOTES: ‘When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive, to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.”

Yes, this is what I often think when hiking our beautiful alpine region but this is not the only reason for the name of this piece. .These were the original words of wisdom printed on this timber board before I painted over it. 🩷

ARTIST BIO

I am a self taught artist, I live in Geelong with my husband Luke and and my three gorgeous kids, Miles, Ari & Leila.

My art is inspired by my love of life, music and flowers.

My process is very playful, I love experimenting with all sorts of paints. Brushes, palette knives and fingertips are used and paint is often squirted straight onto the canvas too!

All of my pieces contain a message, a message that has come to me during their creation, usually through music, books or quotes I have read. My hope is that my paintings and the messages they hold evoke feelings of love, joy and inspiration to all who view them.

A percentage of my profits are donated to ‘The Tolle Foundation’ inspired by my experience with anxiety. Eckhart Tolle’s teachings and my favourite book ‘The Power of Now’ were life changing for me and I would love everyone to have access to his beautiful wisdom.
